Team HYCON Makes a Splash in Hong Kong

Looking back on a full-week of festivities with Token2049 and the global blockchain community.

Packed with an all-star list of speakers and industry leaders from around the world, Team HYCON decided that Token 2049 — March 20th ~ 21st in Hong Kong — was the perfect time and place to make an impression. And what a week it was…

Pre-Game Huddle

Team HYCON began the week by holding a team meeting on the Sunday evening at our hotel where 12 teammates gathered to prepare for the upcoming events. Our team included lead developers, marketing and communications experts, community leaders (in from USA, Germany & HK), our head translator, and even our film crew (in from LA) was there to properly capture the moment.

This was the first time the international members of the HYCON crew were able to meet in person and after a couple of drinks and laughs, the team got down to business setting the agenda for the week ahead.

Event 1 — Industry Experts Discussion Panel

On Monday, March 19th, Team HYCON co-sponsored a riveting panel discussion with various blockchain experts from around the world to discuss several important industry topics, including the regulatory and legal outlook for the industry across different geographies, how to clean up the industry and advice for those looking to conduct their own ICO.

Token 2049

Token 2049 was a huge success thanks to the quality lineup of those giving speeches and to the strength of the 1000+ attendees — and Team HYCON was very easy to find at the event!

Overall, Token 2049 was a great success and allowed Team HYCON to network and make friends with several prominent figures within the industry.

Event 2 — Team HYCON VIP Party

The HYCON VIP Party vibe was established nicely at Ce La Vi HK

To cap off Token 2049 in style, we decided to host our own private roof-top VIP soirée at Hong Kong’s famed CÉ LA VI and were honored by the distinguished group of guests who chose to spend their evening with Team HYCON.

Event 3 — ICO Pitch Night

Rounding out the last night of our stay in Hong Kong was yet another great Team HYCON co-sponsored event, which saw HYCON lead developer Niall Moore get up on stage and deliver a tech-laden discussion to a very interested audience.
